Terms of service and sale

Last updated 13 October 2026

These terms cover using Space and buying a plan. They are written to be read: if something is unclear, ask us before you subscribe.

Space is in development and public sign-ups are not open yet. These terms apply from the day you create an account or buy a plan. Questions go to sequierh@statemethod.com.

Legal notice

Space and getspace.sh are published and sold by:

Seller and publisherHugo SEQUIER, Entrepreneur individuel (French sole trader)
Contactsequierh@statemethod.com
Publication directorHugo SEQUIER
Website and app hostVercel Inc., 440 N Barranca Ave #4133, Covina, CA 91723, United States
API and agent connections hostCloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St, San Francisco, CA 94107, United States

In these terms, “we” and “us” mean Hugo SEQUIER, and “you” means the person or business using Space.

About these terms

These terms apply when you create a Space account, connect an agent to it or buy a plan. Buying a plan forms a contract with us on these terms; Checkout asks you to accept them before you pay. The privacy policy explains how we handle personal data, and withdrawal and refunds explains how to cancel within 14 days and get your money back.

If you are a consumer, meaning you use Space for purposes outside your trade, business or profession, you keep every right the consumer law of your country gives you. Where these terms treat business customers differently, they say so.

We may update these terms, for example when we add a feature or the law changes. We will email you at least 30 days before a change that affects a paid plan takes effect. If you do not accept it, you can cancel before then and we refund the unused part of your current period.

Your account

You must be at least 18 to buy a plan, and at least 15 to use Space at all. Give us accurate details and keep your password and connected agents under your control: actions taken through your account, including by an agent you have authorized, are treated as yours. You can review and revoke agent access at any time from Agents. Tell us at once at sequierh@statemethod.com if you think someone else has used your account.

The service

Space is a cloud workspace for documents, tasks and memory that AI agents you authorize can read and write over the Model Context Protocol (MCP). What each plan includes is listed on the pricing page at the time you buy it.

Space is in development. We work to keep it available and your data safe, but we do not promise uninterrupted service, and features may change. We will not remove a feature that is part of your paid plan during a period you have paid for without offering a refund for the rest of that period.

Memory extraction, organization and search use AI models, which can be wrong. Check remembered context before you rely on it for anything important. Agents you connect act on their own instructions; we do not control what they do with the content you let them read.

Your content

What you store in Space stays yours. You give us the permission we need to host, copy, encrypt, index and process it, including sending it to the providers listed in the privacy policy, only to provide Space to you. You can export or delete your content at any time, on every plan and after a plan ends, and ask us to delete your whole account.

You are responsible for having the right to store and share what you put in Space. Keep your own copy of anything you cannot afford to lose: export it regularly.

Acceptable use

Do not use Space to:

  • break the law or infringe someone else’s rights, including privacy and intellectual property;
  • store or distribute malware, or content that sexually exploits children;
  • attack, probe or overload Space or other people’s accounts, or get around plan limits or access controls;
  • resell Space or offer it to others as a hosted service without our written agreement.

The fair-use limits on Ultra are the storage and monthly model requests shown on the pricing page.

Plans and prices

Plans are sold monthly or yearly. Prices are in euros; customers in the United States are charged the same amounts in US dollars. The pricing page shows prices before VAT. Checkout adds the VAT for your country and shows the total, VAT included, before you pay. Businesses can enter a VAT number at Checkout.

Free trial

Your first yearly plan starts with 7 free days, with a tenth of the plan’s limits. Checkout collects your card. When the trial ends, the year is charged unless you have cancelled in Settings → Billing. Monthly plans, and any subscription after your first, start paid.

Payment and renewal

Payments are processed by Stripe; we never see your full card number. Your plan renews automatically at the end of each month or year, at the price then in force, until you cancel. We email you at least 30 days before a price increase applies to your renewal. If a payment fails, Stripe retries it; if it stays unpaid, your account becomes read-only until it is settled.

Changing or cancelling a plan

Change or cancel your plan at any time from Settings → Billing. An upgrade starts at once and you pay the difference for the rest of the period. A downgrade, or a move from yearly to monthly, applies at the end of the current period. Cancelling stops the next renewal: your plan stays active until the period you have paid for ends.

When a plan ends, your account becomes read-only. You can still read, export and delete everything in it, and connected agents can still read it.

Withdrawal and refunds

If you ask within 14 days of your first payment for a subscription, we refund it in full, without asking why. This covers the 14-day right of withdrawal that consumers in the European Union have, and goes further. How to ask, the model withdrawal form and what happens next are on the withdrawal and refunds page.

Legal guarantee of conformity

If you are a consumer, we are responsible for any lack of conformity of Space with what was agreed for as long as your subscription lasts, under articles L224-25-1 and following of the French Code de la consommation. If Space does not work as described, tell us at sequierh@statemethod.com. We will bring it into conformity free of charge within a reasonable time. If we cannot, or the problem is serious, you can ask for a price reduction or end the contract and be refunded for the period affected.

Suspension and termination

You can ask us to delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms, after warning you where the law and the circumstances allow. We will give you a chance to export your content unless the law prevents it. If we close a paid account for a reason other than a breach of these terms, or stop offering Space, we refund the unused part of your period.

Liability

We are liable to consumers as the law provides. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, for gross negligence or wilful misconduct, or any other liability that cannot be limited by law.

For business customers, and as far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses such as lost profits, revenue or data, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before it arose.

Intellectual property

The Space software is source-available under the Business Source License 1.1. The Space name, logo and website content belong to us. These terms do not give you any right to them beyond using the service.

Complaints, mediation and applicable law

If something goes wrong, write to us first at sequierh@statemethod.com. We answer within 14 days.

If you are a consumer and we cannot settle a dispute, you can refer it free of charge to our consumer mediator, within one year of your written complaint to us: Mediator to be added

These terms are governed by French law. If you are a consumer living in another country, you keep the protection of the mandatory rules of that country and can bring proceedings where you live. Disputes with business customers go to the courts with jurisdiction for our business address.
